Developing Versatile Competitors and Judges

Everyone knows that when you go to a horse show and the judge gives you a tip, you think: “this is a really good judge!”  Well, what about those competitors who don’t get tips or those who are looking for more? Here is the clinic where you will get all the tips you need from Lynn Palm, 20 year AQHA judge and 3 time AQHA World Show judge!

The Versatile Rider has been our most popular clinic. We offer tips, suggestions and exercises to improve you as a competitor. We cover training techniques to make your horse ride balanced on the rail and perform the patterns with consistency. Lynn reviews the rules and etiquette of the discipline(s) that you are competing in or hoping to learn more about.  You get a unique dual insight from a competitor and judge on how to perform and judge the specific classes with maximum
efficiency. We offer Mental Enhancement

lectures that include performing your best under stress, building your confidence and enjoying competing. These are your tools for success! If you are currently competing, have been away from the show ring for some time or are just entering the show ring for the first time, we encourage you to join us for an action packed week! If you are a seasoned competitor, we know that we can help you take the next level in the show ring!!

This session covers all aspects of horse show competition. We invite all breeds of horses and riders who want to do be introduced to new disciplines! At the beginning of the week classes will be mocked in show ring attire and you will be evaluated as if you were being judged in an actual competition. During the week you will train to improve your performance.  The last day of our program you will again ride the mock classes and be judged. Outside judges may be asked to intervene. You will be scored and will receive comments on your performance including suggestions on how to improve. Lynn will personally critique and give advice to the judges during the mock classes.
