Lynn,
You may not remember me, but its Morgan, aka: Mini Morgan. I had
my horse Chick at your clinic at Silver Hights Stables, in Three
Rivers, MI. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate
you coming to Silver Hights, it was sooo much fun!!
You
really helped me and Chicky a lot, and I will send pictures of us
at our horse shows this summer. I hope to train with you again!
Thanks sooo much again! It was such a cool experience!! I hope you
write back soon, and I hope we can keep in touch.

Hi
Lynn,
Guess what? I scored a 59.231% and a 61.153% at TR test 4 this weekend
at the Walla Walla Sweet Onion Classic. I even scored a 7 on my
free walk. Can you believe it! I am so pleased with how we did.
We (Jet and I) made some corrections before our ride this morning
and it paid off big time! There was a girl watching us ride this
morning and came over and said that Jet moves very much like her
horse in so many ways. I asked her what breed her horse was, and
she said an Andalusian x Thoroughbred. I almost lost it. I never
in a million years would have thought Jet could move like one of
those 'fancy' horses.
We
have improved so much since the October clinic, you would not be
able to recognize us. I can hardly believe we are scoring mostly
6's and a couple of 7's. We still have improvements to make, but
I know he is capable of more than a 61%, because there were some
things we got 6's on today, that scored 7's before. I really want
to start working toward level 1, and that will happen soon. I just
wish Jet were 10 years younger, he turned 20 on May 12.
I
was out promoting QH's and dressage this weekend as well. I have
a new title for the next press release, "To Dressage or Not
to Dressage?" ...that is the question that AQHA will be asking
at the 2006 annual convention in Seattle… I'm working on it.
Take care, Pam
Hi
Lynn, Cyril,and Marie-Frances,
I
am so lucky to meet great horse people!!
As
a Flight Attendant for American Airlines, I travel all over the
U.S......and anyone I see on a flight with horse pictures/ books/
DVD's, etc., I ask them about their "interest" in horses.
I have spread the "Palm Partnership Training" word to
many and I give them whatever copy of 'PPT" print I have with
me!! Just tonight, I saw a woman (in flight) watching a video of
a dressage horse....(he was obviously "top notch" and
) she said she was considering buying this young stallion from Germany....only
the price was holding her back. She was so modest.......
Well,
after an hour of conversation with her I realized she is not only
familiar with the "top notch" dressage horses, but she
trains some of them too....Friesians and Andulsians. Of course I
asked her early in the conversation if she was familiar with "Lynn
Palm"...and she said "yes"! Just then I opened a
page of the "Dressage Today" and there was Lynn and the
advertisement from Oster"!!!
Keep in mind that I'm working a flight at this point, so I have
135 other passengers to tend to. Our conversation was broken up.
I finally learn that her name is Sabine Schut-Kery, she knows Jane
Savoie very well, and currently trains in Dallas. She is moving
to California in Nov and starting her own training business. I looked
at her website..... incredible! I also learned that her husband
is a professional stuntman..... high-falls and horse-falls"
are his specialty. (She was flying to Baltimore to visit him while
he films a Civil War documentary for IMAX.)
I
just wanted to let you know that I'm spreading the "PPT"
method around!!!

Hi Lynn-
It seems a long time since we have been in touch and I wanted to
say hello. I have enjoyed watching the RFD-TV shows you and Cyril
have produced this year. I think the quality and content are excellent
in every way. It's nice to be able to have refresher courses with
you even if they are not in person.
Things
have been very busy for me as I know they are for you. I hope the
move to Michigan goes well. I know you are doing the clinic in Virginia
next weekend and I was hoping to attend. On Saturday, I am coaching
students at a show, and on Sunday I am committed to judging a show.
I committed to these events in January and February so I obviously
need to keep my word. I will miss having a visit with you. I am
sure you will have a good time. Hopefully, I can make the clinic
in Maryland in October.
I
want to congratulate you on your participation on the AQHA America's
Horse Therapeutic riding fund in honor of Rugged Lark. It is a wonderful
cause and it is very moving to hear what it has done for physically
and mentally handicapped riders. I feel that these are God's special
riders and what better to lift them to higher heights than the soul
of a horse. I think those of us who are not physically or mentally
handicapped understand what these wonderful animals have done for
us, imagine how they can free the spirit of those who are challenged.
I am so glad your riding partner of so many years was chosen to
represent this worth while fund.
Once
again, I am sorry I won't be seeing you next weekend, but I will
see you sometime soon.
Best
wishes,
Nancy Philpy
Dear
Lynn,
Check our RFDTV guide every morning & make note of the equestrian
programs. Your presentations are always enjoyed and looked forward
to. It's a thrill to watch your performances on "Painted Lark".
A dear friend of mine, Sandy Irving, enjoyed the honor of attending
"Rugged Lark's" Memorial last week and has promised to
take us by Bo-Bett Farm during our next trek down to Reddick. We're
so looking forward to that !
Thank
you for your shows and very interesting newsletter. As a mother
of a handicapped daughter, I am especially grateful for your all's
work with the challenged. God bless you!
Sincerely,
Chris Biller

Hi
Lynn,
I want to tell you how much your equestrian exercise videos have
helped me! About 3 years ago I took a bad fall and hurt my back.
Since that accident, I collapsed on my right side at the waist when
I rode. This brought my left shoulder up and forward. I also had
trouble keeping my left knee from creeping up and would twist while
posting. I was aware of these issues and was struggling to change
them.
I spent several months working with a chiropractor. I was still
not able to keep my left knee down and couldn't get my weight down
into that heel. That was when I bought your exercise tapes. All
the exercises that open the hip joint really did the trick! I am
really getting control over my body again. All of the exercises
are great! Not only has it helped my riding, I can feel the difference
when I walk.
These
tapes are great for any rider. I just wanted to mention that they
are also wonderful for riders who need to do some rehab after a
fall. Thanks for your help!
Take Care!

Hi,
I saw the tail end of the show with you on a gorgeous horse without
a bridle. i had tears in my eyes. I have an 18 yr old Appy and Iam
64 yrs young. Sure wish Icould ride like you.
Ssincerely

Dear
Lynn and Cyril,
I received my "Most Improved Rider" sculpture this week.
It is SO beautiful, the mare and foal. I can't thank you enough
for giving me the opportunity to "partner up" in your
clinics for the past 3 + years. And my horses are at least as grateful
as me!
From
the first clinic in 2002 I knew this would be the key to bringing
out the best in myself so that I can in turn help bring out the
best in my horses. The level of instruction that y'all provide is
something that I never would have imagined to be available to me.
And the fact that you both work as hard and as patiently as you
do with every rider no matter what their background or ability is
a testament to your dedication.
The
Dressage III clinic I attended this past winter was, for me, the
best yet. We had such a great group, everyone so supportive of the
others; and being able to see the videos of the day's riding was
invaluable. Especially in the comfort of our own theatre!
You
can count on seeing me next winter. I'm already looking forward
to my week at Fox Grove. And I'll for sure see you, Lynn, and Marie-Frances
in Jacksonville in November.
Till
next time,
Terri
"Hi" to Betty, Marie-Frances, Heidi, Walter, Karin, Curtis,
Amy, and Trisha; a pat to Sherlock and Watson; and a little hug
to Sid from me.
Hi
Lynn & Cyril,
How
are you doing? After reading your update, it sounds like you're
busy as usual. Things are going good here in Hawaii. I've been working
a lot to earn money to come back to Michigan this summer. I've almost
earned all of the money to pay my tuition and for a lesson horse.
I can't wait to see you and the horses in July.
Horse show season started about a month ago. Gunnar and I are showing
dressage this year. We made it thru our 1st dressage show. We did
training level test 1 & 2.
We
had our 1st western schooling show and our 1st western point show
too. Which brings me to my question I wanted to ask you. Is the
way I have the chain in these pictures illegal in showmanship classes?
I had never shown showmanship until a few weeks ago. We
haven't had showmanship in our shows since 1999. At both shows I
ran the chain as in the pictures. The schooling show judge (she
was from the mainland) didn't say anything about the chain. The
point show judge (also from the mainland) told me the way I had
the chain was illegal. I'm confused. I saw the showmanship video
on your website. I want to order it, but until I get it, can tell
me if it is legal or not?

Hi
Lynn,
I it sounds like you and Cyril are well, and busy as usual! I finally
got to my first show with my young Arab gelding Saruk, and we did
well. The in-hand training you helped me with has really helped
us. I have also found a 9 year old gelding that will help me relax
and tune up MY skills so Saruk and I can relate better under saddle.
Your
comments about the suitablility of horse and rider are always in
my head, and I'm still hopeful that Saruk and I will grow together.
When he's good, he's very, very good!
My
daughter, Alex, has been setting up obstacle courses for training,
and has been putting to use what she learned from you at the Expo
on Harrisburg this winter. The lessons I learned from you and Cyril
are trickling down to her, also!
I'm
looking forward to seeing the video you had done for Rebecca's stallion,
and wish I could watch you ride him at the dressage show. He must
be really shaping up!
Thanks
again for the teaching. hope to see you again soon.

Hi
Lynn,
Our foundation voted to have you as a clinician in 2006. I have
been using what I learned at the Dressage Principles II school with
my horses and they are loving me for it! Thank you! I look forward
to being able to ride with you again.
Thank
you,
Barbie Miller
Hello
Lynn,
I was extremely happy to see the article on Hunters in this month's
AQHA Journal. Your contribution to the article was excellent. I
sincerely hope judges, trainers and owners will take note and make
some positive changes in the way Quarter Horses are being trained
and shown the hunter classes.
I
look forward to seeing a more classical style of riding hunters
carry across all stock-type breeds not only from the circuit level
shows, but to the smaller local shows as well. Very well done!
See
you in July! Best regards,
Ericka Utz
Hi Lynn,
Ellie Mae and I had our first show of the season yesterday. We qualified
in all three of our events for the Champ Show. (Showmanship, Horsemanship,
and Pleasure) Thanks for all the support with my progress in learning
how to be the best I can be. I am looking for forward to Versatility
School this year in Michigan to work on tuning up my show skills.
Take
care,
Wendy Annis
p.s. Did you decide to bring My Royal Star to Michigan? I hope so......
Dear
Lynn,
I can't tell you what a wonderful experience it was again for me
to work with you and to also have the opportunity to work with Cyril.
The clinic was superb and all the amenities were outstanding. Your
mom sure outdid herself and kept me so well fed! Of course, all
your staff are truly excellent in their duties and so friendly and
helpful. It was so nice to meet Karin's parents. They are great
people. Please say hello to everyone for me. I can't say enough
how much the help means to me.
Well,
first of all let me tell you I am thrilled with your work saddle.
What a difference it has made for both of us. I saw Phil Harris
in Lexington at the ECCS and told him how happy I am.
I
went to the East Coast Championship Show. Did you know it's second
in size to the Congress? I admit I was overwhelmed but I did pull
off a 2nd and 4th in horsemanship and got some points. I had a video
taken with an extra copy made for you so I'm sending it down. I
even went in a hunter under saddle to prepare Easy for a huntseat
equitation but after waiting six hours for my next class we just
couldln't keep it together so I scratched. The competition was unbelieveable...
over 1500 entrants but I felt I held my own and had a respectable
huntseat ride and good patterns but he was too quick on the rail
at the lope... and I think that is what hurt me in horsemanship.
I was a very good experience for me, though.
I
felt I had real good rides in my amateur select but the competition
was very tough and Icouldn't get above a 7th... very disappointing
and a first for me. But you will see the tape.
Then
I went to Raleigh to a show and took high point in horsemanship,
took a nice 3rd outa 18 in western pleasure which I was especially
pleased with and I really feel Easy and I are finally finding that
groove. His head is staying down much better and he's moving real
nice off his rear. I am now high point all around in horsemanship
in North Carolina.
I
have a camcorder on order so I can send you video. It should be
arriving soon and I will be sending tapes as promised. I hope this
finds you very well. Please give my best regards to Cyrill, your
mom and all the great women you have working with you.
Very
best regards,
Cindy Douglas
Hope
you are doing well and having great success in your students and
hopefully I will become one of them one day.
Brittany
Hello
Lynn,
I
don’t know if you remember me, I know you have a lot of students
and meet tons of people. But, I took your Versatility two and three
in late March with Shannon Hinton and Jen Hurt. And one of my goals,
besides being a better rider, and one that my horse deserves, was
trying out for the police departments mounted unit when I returned
from Ocala. So, I just wanted to send you and Cyril a quick note
to tell you that I made the mounted unit! In fact I will be supervising
it. I know that the classes I took with you all really helped my
riding and confidence. Thanks you so much. It is a brand new unit
so we don’t have our uniforms and stuff, but I’ll send
you a picture once we get our uniforms and complete several weeks
of training with the US Park Police in DC.
Tell
everyone hello for me. We all really had a great time and I plan
to come back and take another class with my new horse, a 3 year
old paint. Wow do I have a lot to learn! This is my first ride on
him and I think you can tell that I’m the nervous one.
