The 3 day Ride Well Clinic USA Tour is designed to teach each student the foundation necessary for a safe, balanced and happy ride. Whether a rider is a previous participant or a first time enrollee, the principles of correct horsemanship taught by Lynn and Cyril are crucial to help build a true and long lasting partnership between horse and rider. Lynn’s and Cyril’s teaching is based on dressage principles. Not necessarily based on the sport of Dressage but on the principles of the classical training method that originated in Europe. Simply "stated”, Dressage is a French word that means training. The priceless value of these principles is that they are sound, humane and effective while applicable to all levels of riders, breeds of horses and riding disciplines. Lynn and Cyril build a foundation that emphasizes the importance of: - correct rider's position for relaxation and balance - soft communication through natural aids to encourage the horse's willingness - putting the horse in balance through control of the body position Palm Equestrian Academy promotes relaxed, willing and happy horses moving with balance and true gaits. Lynn and Cyril are known for their patience and gearing their teaching towards improving the horse by improving the rider. Their techniques are devised to build trust and respect in the horse while developing a positive relation between horse & rider. The curriculum can be tailored to meet the needs of the group and contains a mix of lectures, demonstration, Q & A, in hand and under saddle training plus a summary with suggestions to take home. For those students repeating the clinic after several years, the curriculum can be structured in order to advance their skills including advanced ground work, lateral training, flying lead change, advancing your horse's collection or improving your performance over fences. All of this is applicable to first time riders at a Palm Equestrian Academy clinic as well as refining these principles for returning students. These topics, in addition to under saddle training, may be covered during the clinic. Basics of ground training Learning to read the horse Horse behavior Correct saddle fitting
