Perfect Versatility.
INTRODUCTORY SEASON! Be among the first to choose
your destiny with “My Rugged Destiny,” the first
Rugged Lark foal registered, inspected (First Premium rating)
and branded by the American Warmblood Registry. Like his sire,
he has the qualities of a champion: natural balance, athleticism
and intelligence, and the color, charisma and style that attract
a judge’s attention in the show ring.
"Skylar is a wonderful representation of the Rugged
Lark breeding. If you are looking for unique color and the
Rugged Lark personality, trainability and versatility, you
won't go wrong with My Rugged Destiny. I had the pleasure
of getting him started in the dressage ring and over fences.
I know that he will have a great career in working hunter,
hunter hack, and some western disciplines are in his future.
If I can assist you with any questions in regard to your mare
being suitable for Skylar, please feel free to contact
me!" --Lynn Palm

attitude and work ethic.”
“Elegant hunter type, ground covering canter, gorgeous
head and hind end, and wonderful temperament.”
“Nice horse: very warmblood-like trot: conformation
of a good jumping horse.”
My Rugged Destiny will add versatile American bloodlines
to your sport horse program. Beautiful conformation and movement
combined with incredible scope, form, and eagerness over fences
make My Rugged Destiny an excellent choice no matter what
your discipline! Registered AQHA, AWR, IBHA, ABRA. Incentive
Fund Enrolled.
Background
My Rugged Destiny (MRD) is already a winner, beginning his
show career at four months old with a top-five placing at
a USDF Sport Horse Breeder’s show. MRD was the top-placing
English horse at the NC Quarter Horse yearling longe line
futurity.
At his two-year-old AWR inspection (2002), My Rugged Destiny
was Champion of his division and site Reserve Champion at
Knightdale, NC. He received high marks in breed type and conformation
and free jumping. Through his three-year-old year he repeatedly
earned champion and reserve champion in hunter-in-hand and
showmanship in regional shows. As a four-year-old under saddle,
his Introductory Level scores (upper 60’s to mid 70’s)
at his first USDF show earned him the division championship.
Lynn Palm (who successfully campaigned his sire to AQHA Super
Horse status) and Cyril Pittion-Rossillon started more advanced
dressage and versatility training. Shown successfully by Lynn
Palm, My Rugged Destiny scored consistently in the mid to
upper 60’s at Training Level Dressage under such prestigious
judges as Kathy Connelly.
In addition to his dressage appearances, MRD showed his versatility
in the 2005 International Buckskin Horse Association World
Show in halter, showmanship, disciplined rail, hunter under
saddle, hunter hack, and trail classes, where he earned a
top-five and two top-ten ribbons.
