Florida Activities
At Fox Grove Farm, our favorite night is the night of the cookout/bonfire. We feel it is part of bringing the Midwest to Florida! We have a fun cookout grilling on the grill or open fire, and enjoy the evening with refreshments at the bonfire, making friends! There is French wine served for those who choose. It makes for a fun, social evening.
Evenings of fun can be had at the Red Fox Inn, our English Pub located in the main house. Yes, we “Pub it” and have fun at the bar with Cyril as the bartender, play billiards, darts, or cards! Of course the music usually gets those who dance, dancing!
Boating is planned if weather permits. We have a Master Craft boat for skiing, if you choose, or we go to a wonderful spring in Lake George and swim.
Weather permitting; we visit area horse farms in Ocala. Some of the best horse breeding is in Ocala. Farms that we have visited include Roberts Quarter Horses, Bo Bett Farm, Gypsy Gold Farm, and many more. There is also the option of visiting training facilities and seeing Bruce Davison, David and Karen O’Conner’s, Ian Miller, Scott Hofstetter, and more!
Be sure to visit the Rugged Lark Memorial at BoBett Farm, located only 6 miles from Fox Grove Farm.
Seven weeks of Hunter/Jumper shows (HITS) are just 10 miles from the farm. Highlights include a $100,000 Grand Prix Jumping, which brings some of the best riders in the US and Canada. This is a must see and the shopping is great too!
There are several local tack shops for English and Western tack and clothing. There is large horse trailer shopping too!
