What Women are Talking About!

Letters:
These are parts of some of the wonderful letters that we have received that we thought you could enjoy with us!

Lynn,

I want to tell you what a great time we had at your Women Luv Horses
retreat.  It is by far the best clinic or expo I have ever been too.  All
three days were packed with so much really useful information.  I now have
many new ideas and tips to use when working with my horse.

I picked up something to use from every clinician.  I also learned a lot
from listening to Jane Savoie and the round table discussions.  What you all
had to share will help me to better mentally prepare to show my horse and
deal with many of the negative people, competitors, and challenges at horse
shows.  I find it very interesting that you all are so successful in
different disciplines but you all have so much in common in attaining your
success.   You all are a great example of being successful through hard work,
determination, positive thinking, and really working with your horse to
bring out his best.

I hope you have this again in the future and I hope I have the opportunity
to attend again.

Thank you for this great opportunity!!! Stephanie Lyons

The Women LUV Horses weekend was incredible! All done very classy and organized! I really hope that Lynn will do it again next year and so on!

Dear Lynn and all of your staff,

I wish to express to all of you that you did a magnificent job with the Women LUV Horses Retreat. It was very special to see all the very talented professionals get together and share with the rest of us, as well as with each other. The evening festivities were also superb. And I have to admit, Rugged Painted Lark is as talented as his father. Hmmm, I think that must also be due to careful upbringing and training. It definitely was a magical experience. I am so grateful that I managed to get there.

Lynn, you are definitely giving to others when you open your arms to all of us Women Who Love Horses. The whole program was inspirational.

You might not know this, but you were my first "teacher" towards understanding the real bond between horses and humans. Thank you so much for all you've done and continue to do, as well as your kindness to me.

Sincerely, Corky Findley Plant City, FL

Hi,

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your retreat.  I went Friday and Saturday, and really wanted to go back Sunday, but have a conflict.  I truly hope it was successful for you and your vendors, as I hope you will come back.  I learned a lot, and ENJOYED it.  I also spent too much money .

I just want to add, on a more personal note, that my experience at Women Luv Horses was empowering, not only to me as a professional woman involved in the nutritional aspects of caring for equine -- but also on a personal level. I enjoyed the whole weekend -- especially Saturday evening's event. Listening to the endearing life stories and interesting experiences told by talented, beautiful women who are legends in their own time -- was very inspirational, and priceless.  It reinforced the knowledge that every experience I have along this road of life --good and bad -- is a learning tool, and actually prepares me quite beautifully for what's to come. I feel honored to have been able to experience this sharing in what had the emotional feel of a very intimate setting with dear friends. Thank you!
Flaxfully,

Bonnie

Lynn -

I wanted to make sure that I touched bases with you and shared how much I enjoyed last weekend.

The Retreat was great.  You had wonderful support from sponsors and vendors and all the attendees were taking advantages of all the resources you brought together.
It was a pleasure to be a part of the event and I hope that you will look to HorseCity.com for future sponsorship and promotion opportunities in the future.
Thank you and have a great day.

I mentioned these names as major speakers at the event I attended today, but I didn't explain who they are. To me, these are big names, almost like legends.

A bit about Stacy Westfall, those bridleless/bareback reining championships are pretty impressive. She and Lynn did a presentation together about the common basics to all good riding, despite the kind of saddle and outfit you choose, and it was very good.

Martha Josey is a trailblazer for women equestrians, and is still going strong. She's a legend and was a gracious, unassuming speaker.

And the person who really drew me to the event was Jane Savoie, whose "Cross Train Your Horse" dressage books have long been two of my favorites.  She’s a great writer and a great speaker.

I really enjoy reining, and I admire the heck out of horsemen who can ride and work bridleless.  The point I heard over and over was the importance of building the basics - ALL the basics – such that the rider doesn't need the reins or a bit. Whether the rider actually chooses to ride bridleless eventually is really irrelevant -and frankly, I doubt many of us will ever be able to do it to the level of these people. In fact, this clinic was aimed at "real world riders" and all the riders rode with normal tack yesterday, including bits and bridles. But, that doesn't impact the importance of what they are teaching one whit.

What I like about Lynn palm is she uses her Euro dressagey training for riding english or western and just incredible horsemanship. As I have posted before her grooming clinic is mind blowing. I mean she starts grooming a horse for a show three months in advance, making it glow with good health and natural body oils in the hair to make shine etc. Sometimes I can't make myself pay attention to english stuff because I feel like it just doesn’t pertain to what I do... but she has a way of explaining how it pertains to every day, finding your "seat" etc. She is not real dynamic like some others but very very smart. I like Stacy Westfall too and want to see Savoie. I have seen the barrel racer on TV, she is a legend, and my gosh can still sling around barrels at her age. I would have loved that clinic Karen!

There are not many quarter horses I have seen that just blew me away,
but Rugged Lark did, also Lynn's Horse Rugged Painted lark.
