 Dressage Arena, Instruction and Competitions

In late 2013 and 2014, Palm Equestrian Academy hosted its first schooling shows at Fox Grove Farm as a culmination of the students' learning from the Dressage Clinics taught by Lynn and Cyril. Having had success and great reviews after opening to the public as well as clinic riders, the team decided to move into a full fledged series of shows in 2015. Each Sunday show will offer a full slate of Western Dressage classes and the Traditional English Riders can enter their test of choice. All shows will have a USEF R judge or higher level judge officiate with a 20 x 60 arena. The shows will be WDAFL qualified and WDAA Recognized. Palm Equestrian Academy will also offer its own series end awards at the conclusion of the series in December. An added bonus is the option for Lynn or Cyril to coach riders as they prepare for and enter the competition arena. To reserve a clinic enrollment or to inquire about the show series, email Marie-Frances at generalinfo@lynnpalm.com. Remaining 2019 dates are November 17 and December 7. Enter online I rode my first Western Dressage test at a Fox Grove Farm show in March of 2013. It is a beautiful facility, with gracious hosts, that create a positive learning environment. The show was organized and well run. We had so much fun we returned for all the remaining 2014 shows, and eagerly await the future Show Series. Andrea Browning

Natural Obstacles Training Course, Instruction and Challenges

Join in us at Fox Grove Farm for fun and education on our outdoor trail training arena! The course is an enclosed 3 acres filled with natural obstacles that horse and rider may encounter on the trail. The course is so good to build confidence outside an arena for both horse and rider. It's great to accustom young horses to new surroundings and keep older horses refreshed. With 3 different bridges, hills, banks and water obstacles, there is something for everyone. Natural Obstacles Instruction This clinic is two days filled with horse and rider pairs discovering obstacles both in hand and under saddle. With the security of the fenced training arena, riders will find a new level of confidence in themselves and their horses while working over diverse obstacles on the course ranging in degree of difficulty. Some of the obstacles where they can build their trust in one another to prepare to go down the trail include natural logs, hills, bridges and water. In addition to the private, semiprivate and group lessons on the course, open practice on the course is available as scheduled or by appointment. Groups are welcome. Riders can take their time in hand or under saddle for one hour at a fee of $30 per horse/rider. Practice times can be viewed at http://www.lynnpalm.com/calendar.htm or scheduled with Marie-Frances at generalinfo@lynnpalm.com. Trail Challenge is a judged course that tests a horse and rider’s ability to work as a team and navigate through natural obstacles they might experience on a trail. The purpose of a Trail Challenge is to enhance the horsemanship skills riders need while encouraging education, safety and fun on the trail. Judges evaluate rider’s skills to maneuver his horse through the obstacle. In addition to the under saddle classes, Palm Equestrian Academy offers Agility (In Hand) courses during instruction and competition as well. See the competition rules here. Remaining 2019 dates are November 17 and December 7.
