Customized Program for Michigan
These sessions are for Palm Partners who have studied Palm Partnership Training for two or more years. The schedule of classes and curriculum will be based upon the needs of the participants. Riders with similar needs will be coordinated in groups by Lynn and Cyril and contacted by March 2008 in order to plan for the Michigan summer sessions.
The following subjects will be included in the Customized Programs. However, the curriculum will not be limited to these topics only.
- Advanced horse management and ground training
- Advancing your horse’s balance-collection
- Transitions and different speeds in gaits
- Lateral training
- Counter canter
- Simple changes of leads
- Flying lead changes
- Pleasure driving
- Training over fences
- Dressage: Training, First, Second Levels
- Trail obstacles
- Training for the show ring

Lodging is arranged at Big Powderhorn Mountain Ski Resort in quaint chalets just two miles south of Royal Palm Ranch. Camping facilities are also available. Excellent family-style meals are prepared at Royal Palm Ranch daily. The Gogebic/Iron County Airport is serviced through Midwest Airlines and is located two miles from the Ranch. Transportation and chaperones are available for riders 18 and under. Rental cars/car pooling can be arranged.
